Apple’s Steve Jobs Blasts Google and Adobe
Apple CEO Steve Jobs let out a flurry of blistering comments for Google and Adobe in an assembly held after the public release of the iPad.
The meeting discussed big topics such as Google’s recent release of the Nexus One, the search engine giant’s Android-powered handset, and the absence of Adobe Flash support on the iPhone.
Jobs was pretty transparent about his emotions when he talked about Google’s move:
“We did not enter the search business. They entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won’t let them.”
When a reported attempted to ask another question, Jobs went on to rant. “I want to go back to that other question first and say one more thing.” He went on to proclaim declare that Google’s don’t be evil mantra: It’s bullshit.”
Apple’s CEO also fired at Adobe and explained the absence of Flash on the iPad:
“They are lazy. They have all this potential to do interesting things but they just refuse to do it. They don’t do anything with the approaches that Apple is taking, like Carbon. Apple does not support Flash because it is so buggy, he says. Whenever a Mac crashes more often than not it’s because of Flash. No one will be using Flash. The world is moving to HTML5.”
